SLASH Doesn't Anticipate Heavy Partying On 'Let Rock Rule' Tour With AEROSMITH

Legendary GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash recently spoke to the Press Association about his upcoming summer trek with AEROSMITH, dubbed the "Let Rock Rule" tour, which will kick off on July 10 at Nikon at Jones Beach Theatre in Wantagh, New York.

"I toured with AEROSMITH back in the day when they first got sober, and that was when we [GUNS N' ROSES] were abusing chemicals and alcohol pretty heavily at the time," Slash said (see video below). "I would imagine, at this point, since both groups [AEROSMITH and Slash's backing band, backing band, MYLES KENNEDY & THE CONSPIRATORS] are relatively sober, it'll probably just be…"

He continued: "I think a lot of backstage stuff gets blown out of proportion because of the stories that go around. I mean, even in the drunken moments, it's not really that big a deal.

"So I would imagine this would be pretty much the same as it always is. It's really about getting ready for the gig and doing the gig. Any of the superfluous stuff is… whatever."

As previously reported, tickets for "Let Rock Rule" are among the most expensive of the season. According to The Street, the average ticket price for the road trip is a whopping $275.85. The most expensive show on the trek comes in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, with an average price of $385.24 — nearly 40 percent above the tour average.

The bill will also stop in cities like Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Denver, Dallas, Atlanta, Las Vegas and others before coming to a close on September 12 in Canada.

Slash's third solo album, "World On Fire", will come out on September 15. Slash and MYLES KENNEDY & THE CONSPIRATORS recorded 17 songs for the follow-up to 2012's "Apocalyptic Love". Among the tracks on the record are "Shadow Life", "Automatic Overdrive", "Wicked Stone", "30 Years To Life", "Bent To Fly", "Battleground" and the title track, which will also serve as the set's first single.
